Artist's Comments

And, to conclude the work on this series, here's a picture of the heads after I put them on my drums. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out!

Please check out the rest of the series in my gallery for close ups of the individual heads themselves as well as the paper templates that I made.

Thanks for stopping by!

That looks absolutely incredible! Those most have been a lot of fun to create...that's so cool. Keep drumming, keep the music alive. :)

Thanks! It was a lot of fun to make. Towards the end it was a little tedious at times when I was transfering the designs from the paper templates to the drumheads, though. However, it was quite satisfying to get it finished and see them on my drums like this.

how are you stacking that sabian on the legacy 2nd cymbal from the right is that a splash ?
:iconmattwalker21:
Yup, it's a splash. I'm mounting it right on the same rod as the crash is on with it inverted and a little cymbal felt between the two. I just put the felt on the crash as I normally would but then placed the splash upside-down on top of that and then put another felt and the wing nut on top of that. The other crash on my left also has a splash that's mounted that way (although it's more of a china-splash, but the same idea holds).
